With the result, Cruzeiro is currently in 7th place with 42 points, and Cuiabá remains in the relegation zone, in 19th place with 23 points and one game less.

The game was quite busy, but the first half ended goalless. The beginning was a bit cautious with little pressure. The best chance for Cruzeiro was at 20 minutes, with Kaio Jorge, who nearly opened the scoring. Cuiabá put pressure on Cássio, who defended all shots in his direction. Thus, it was 0-0 at halftime.
